Imagine floating high above the mountains, suspended in the crystal blue skies, drifting wherever the wind decides to take you. The breathtaking beauty of Colorado spreads below your feet. You will watch wildlife from a vantage point you have never even imagined. For $195, you can experience an adventure you will never forget with Adventure Balloon Sports. You are also welcome to take a champagne flight for $295. While the ride is thrilling, you do not need to be afraid. All balloon pilots are certified FAA flight instructors, and they research weather conditions thoroughly before lifting off. The basket can hold up to a dozen people. The body of the balloon is normally nylon. A fire-resistant fabric lines the neck for safety. The pilot pumps cold air into the balloon. Then he heats the air with a propane torch, and when the air inside the balloon is hotter than outside, the balloon will rise. Few things to do in Northeast Boulder are more exciting than a flight in a hot air balloon. However, you can see more of Colorado’s gorgeous mountain views from the windows of our Boulder apartments.
