3 Ways to Improve Your Serve on the Tennis Courts

Tennis is a great way to relieve tension and work out your various muscle groups at the same time.

Of course, it helps to practice a lot, and fortunately, our apartments in Gunbarrel with tennis courts provide ample opportunities for you to pick up a game or two.

When you are out there on the courts, be sure to try the following tips to improve your serve:

  • Practice your toss. You want to make sure the toss is consistent.
  • Serve with an upward motion. You want to make sure that your left arm is completely extended and bring your wrist down when your racquet makes contact with the ball.
  • Get used to “The Trophy Position”. This is the correct stance for you to take and will make a big difference in both your accuracy and the power of your serves.

The bottom line is that you want to take your time and practice so that you pick up the correct form that you can consistently repeat each time.
