If you’ve just moved in to your new apartment complex, or are looking for something new to do on the weekends, there are plenty of ways to get to know Boulder and the people who live here. Below, we’ve rounded up a list of activities where it’s easy to make new friends.

Take a Wine or Brewery Tour

If there’s one thing that comes to mind when you think of Colorado, it’s our extensive list of breweries. Boulder is home to many award-winning breweries, and most offer tours of their facility. If you’re not keen about a cold brew, there are plenty of wineries to tour as, well. Either way, a tour is perfect for meeting a group of like-minded individuals. Plus, it’s a great way to learn more about this booming industry in our beautiful state.

If spirits are more your taste, Boulder is host to many distilleries. Most of them offer a glimpse into the distillation process with a tasting tour, a great way to sample different spirits only found in Colorado. For a list of tours, check out this website.

Outdoor Yoga Classes

Boulder is no stranger to yoga, and offers plenty of classes for yogis of all levels. Take advantage of the city’s wonderful natural settings by trying an outdoor yoga class. These groups are offered in various locations around town, so it’s a great way to learn your way around the city and make new friends. Connect with others while you strengthen your core and find your center. You can find a list of dates and classes here.

Bowling & Billiards

The new school season has started, and students are flocking to campus. This generally means that many activities will be popping up for people to join. If you’re interested in low-key hangouts, be sure to check out The Connection on the Main campus. There, you’ll find plenty of bowling, video games, karaoke, TV, and more. Occurring each week, they offer specials for $1 games and boast some of the best pool tables in town. The Connection is the only spot in Boulder that has bowling, so you’re sure to meet people who love ninepin just as much as you do. For more information on dates and times, please check out their website.

Table Tours

Get to know your fellow foodies with a table tour of the best spots in town. Each tour is guided by a local food-lover who takes you to Boulder’s finest independently owned restaurants. During the tour, you’ll stop for dinner, cocktails, dessert, and do some shopping at specialty food boutiques. Not only will you learn about the best spots to grab a bite to eat, but you’ll also meet other food lovers who share your appreciation for local cuisine. Book your spot on the next tour and fall in love with Boulder’s culinary scene.

Moving to a new place doesn’t have to be lonely, especially when you live in a city like Boulder. You’re sure to meet like-minded people in this friendly town, whether you love the outdoors or appreciate a good craft brew. Boulder offers so much; all you have to do is step outside your apartment community and take advantage of the action.
