Snowboarding Near Boulder: In Search Of Powder

January 18, 2013 By Habitat Apts 3 Comments

Eldora Mountain Resort

Eldora Mountain Resort is less than an hour away from Boulder.

Boulder is among of the most breathtaking places in America, and also one of the premier spots for snowboarding. Get outside of our mountain-view apartments in Boulder and hit the slopes with your fellow neighbors and friends this season. Execute those jaw-dropping stunts on your board that will make a mere mortal shriek with anxiety!

The nearest ski area to The Habitat is Eldora, a 35-minute drive from the bustling streets of downtown Boulder.  Typically, Eldora has ideal snow conditions because of its mountain summits reaching 9,000 to 10,000 plus feet.

There are 53 trails and 12 lifts for you and your neighbors to enjoy, along with snowboard rentals if you don’t happen to have your own board. There is also a ski-and-ride bus that will take you from Boulder to Eldora, so no four-wheel driving will be necessary on your excursion.

Summit County is also pretty close to Boulder and features tons of ski resorts and mountains to try, from Breckenridge to to Keystone and Copper Mountain. Of course, your Colorado apartment isn’t too far from some of the state’s most populated ski resorts in Vail and Aspen, too.

Using the Space Inside Your Habitat Apartment

December 6, 2012 By Habitat Apts 2 Comments

FlickrThe Habitat believes in creating a space that is unique and easily utilized, and we’ve remodeled our floor plans to make it even easier to take advantage of the space you’ve been given inside your home.

But we know utilizing space doesn’t come easy to everyone, so we’ve compiled a few tips that we think will help you best use your square footage.

  1. Don’t be afraid to go vertical. Your apartments in Boulder allow you the unique ability to head upward with your space. Consider picking up some floating shelves or utilizing a ladder shelf to display some of your coolest artifacts. The good part about this is these shelving units are so stylish that they don’t appear intrusive in your space.
  2. Arrange your furniture uniquely, and use mirrors and interesting artwork to create a visually appealing space. Your mother is wrong; the couch doesn’t need to go against a wall, and open storage doesn’t look “messy”. Making things interesting and different is considered chic now.

If you are looking for more great ways to utilize your space, check out more awesome tips at Better Homes and Gardens. How do you like to utilize your space inside your apartment? Share with us in the comments below!
