Take Your Pet Down the IBM Connector Trail in Gunbarrel

December 19, 2013 By Habitat Apts 1 Comment

pet walking trail The Colorado scenery in the wintertime is something you just have to see to believe. The majestic Rockies and the clear blue skies make for memorable images you will never forget. Fortunately, there is a great trail nearby where you can stroll along and take it all in. The Lobo Trail is just a short distance from our pet-friendly apartments near Gunbarrel. That means you don't have to go far in order to enjoy it. When completed, the trail will snake along 12 miles of the most beautiful scenery this side of the Alps. Best of all, you and your pet can enjoy the view together as you march along. You can also take the IBM Connector Trail, which connects Longmont to Boulder (and more specifically, Gunbarrel to Boulder parks and trails). It's a long trip, but it is well worth making every now and then. The project is currently underway and area denizens are eagerly awaiting it's completion. When finished, it will connect Cottontail Trail and the Boulder Reservoir Trail to create one of the longest trails in North America. For more information about our pet-friendly apartments in Gunbarrel, contact us today.

Join your fellow Coloradans on Dec. 10 as we give back to our Boulder community. Starting at 12 a.m., make a donation to local non-profit organizations within 24 hours to support Colorado Gives Day 2013. On ColoradoGives.org, search for charities by location and cause, and click "Donate Now" on their profile page to donate as little as $10 by credit card or bank account information. Here, you can also set up recurring donations to keep the giving going all year. In addition, every donation made will get a boost from FirstBank's $250,000 Incentive Fund. Plus, if you get all your friends to support your favorite non-profit organization, that charity will be entered in a pool of prizes of $5,000 each (for organizations with 30 or more donations made). As even more incentive to donate, donors can go to FirstBank's Facebook page on Dec. 10 to answer trivia questions and donate a prize to their charity of choice. So, who can you donate to? If you want to keep it local, check out organizations like the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, Boulder Valley Women's Health Center or Boulder Community Hospital Foundation (search our zip code 80301). ColoradoGives.org also features more regional causes like the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado and Bicycle Colorado. In conjunction with Colorado Gives Day, you'll find events to celebrate the day, like cocktail parties, benefit concerts and other special events. Tell your philanthropic neighbors at our Gunbarrel apartments how you plan to give back this holiday season at The Habitat Apartments on Facebook.
