As we all know, location is the biggest factor to consider when choosing your future home.  Moving to a new apartment in a new area can be a little intimidating at times, but at our Habitat Apartments, you won’t feel that way for long.  Our neighborhood is full of things to do, see, and taste; the area around our Gunbarrel apartment complex is a dream for newcomers. Of course, there are numerous smartphone apps today that will help you find all of Gunbarrel’s hidden gems, such as Yelp, WalkScore, and Foursquare.  However, we wanted to give you a list of a few of our favorites.  Here are suggestions to get you started: Celestial Seasonings Tour, Tea Shop, and Café (0.74 miles from Habitat Apartments) Take advantage of the free facility tour offered by Celestial Seasonings®.  There, you will not only enjoy the irresistible aroma of their delicious teas, but you will also learn everything you ever wanted to know about how the Celestial Seasonings® products are blended, packaged, and shipped. The tour only takes about 45 minutes to complete, and you will then be led to the tea shop.  This is a gift shop where visitors will find an assortment of the company’s teas, as well as gifts, wholesome foods, and personal care products. Finally, round out the experience by enjoying a delicious breakfast or lunch at Celestial Café.  Check out the menu to see what they are serving.  We guarantee you won’t want to stay away. Mile High Gliding (2.65 miles from Habitat Apartments) Mile High Gliding give sailplane rides and soaring lessons in Boulder, giving residents and visitors a view to remember.  Enjoy gliding over our scenic foothills without the distracting sounds of an airplane engine.  Training packages range from 2-hour introductions to the more intensive advanced courses.  If you are interested in seeing Gunbarrel from a new angle, check out the details on the different types of lessons they offer. Boulder Bikram Yoga (3.35 miles from Habitat Apartments) In your search for optimal health, wellness, and relaxation, look no further than your very own community.  Boulder Bikram Yoga’s Director has over 40 years of experience in the practice, so you can expect a superior yoga experience.  All classes are 90 minutes in length, and there are classes available at various times every single day of the week.  After checking out their website for more information, be sure to also like them on Facebook! Frequent Flyers Productions – Aerial Dance Theatre (3.44 miles from Habitat Apartments) Frequent Flyers Productions has classes for people of all ages, including Low-flying and Circus Trapeze, Aerial Fitness Circuit Training, Stilts, Stretching, and more.  If you’re interested in participating, view their class schedule for more information.  If you’d prefer to keep your feet on the ground, the school offers quite the treat for those who wish to spectate.  In October, the flyers will be celebrating Halloween with a very appropriately-timed performance, titled Theatre of the Vampires.  Keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates on this and other performances in the coming months. The Laughing Goat (3.65 miles from Habitat Apartments) Get all of your favorites in one high-energy place.  The Laughing Goat brings you first-class coffee, craft beers, and live music all in one place.  Their nightly happy hour is between 4:00pm and 8:00pm, and they also have live performances every night of the week.  Check out their schedule to see what’s happening this month.
