It was a time of neon colors, hair gel, leopard prints and cutoff sleeves; a time of spandex, hair gel, heavy eye makeup and fishnet gloves.
The music was laced with heavy electric guitar riffs, synthesizers and more memorable tunes from one-hit wonders than you can shake a stick at.
When was the last time you thought about the group Men at Work?
You can reminisce about Journey, Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe and The Cure with one of the most popular 80’s tribute bands in America, appropriately named That Eighties Band.
They’ll be headlining the August 1st edition of Boulder’s summer tradition on Pearl Street – Bands on the Bricks.
Located about eight miles south on CO-119 to US-36 and Canyon Boulevard, the county’s premiere outdoor concert series takes place on the bricks of the Pearl Street Mall.
A free performance that takes place along the front range; you can dance under the stars or enjoy an intoxicating beverage from the Avery Brewing Company and others at the outdoor beer/wine/margarita garden that opens at 5:30 p.m.
The music starts at 7 p.m. and the shows continue with Chris Daniels & The Kings scheduled for August 8 and The Nacho Men on August 15.
