If you are 18 and a legal US citizen living at The Habitat Apartments, this November it is imperative that you get out and make sure your voice is heard.

US Presidential Ballot Box

Are You Registered To Vote In Boulder?

In order to legally register for this year’s election, remember to submit your paperwork by Tuesday, October 9t to the Boulder County Clerk’s Office. You can e-mail a signed PDF or mail it to:

1750 33rd St.
Suite 200
Boulder, CO 80301

Also, remember that if you are new to the Boulder area, you must register here and not in the city where you used to live.

Finally, if you want to rely on facts and solid information about ballot measures and campaign finance reports, visit the Colorado Secretary of State to gather the details and facts on your own. This information is non-biased and non-partisan.

If you have any questions about the process or to ensure you’re registered, you can stop by the County Clerk’s Office south on Diagonal Highway to Arapahoe Avenue just north of the University of Colorado campus or give them a call at (303) 413-7740.

Volunteer With Boulder’s Community Cycles

September 12, 2012 By Habitat Apts Leave a Comment

There are many volunteer opportunities near our apartment in Boulder.  One of the most beneficial in terms of health, physical activity and the generosity of others is that of Community Cycles.

Community Cycles' Bike to School Day Bike Collection Drive

Will you help out Community Cycles?

Founded in 2006 by a handful of bicycle enthusiasts, Community Cycles has become one of the most important small businesses to Boulder’s bicycle boom and they’ve got plenty of ways you can take part and give back.

The Earn-A-Bike Program:  Volunteers that are sixteen years old and older are eligible to be apart of this program that affords you the opportunity to reuse and re-cycle a bicycle that may have been apart of a trash pile.  You will also learn the bicycle mechanics over the course of a fifteen hour work-trade.

Kids Holiday Bike Giveaway:  You can make the dream of a child come true by donating a bicycle to Community Cycles.  This program makes it possible for children to win a bicycle that has been refurbished by volunteers, by showing their report cards and birth certificate.

Boulder Bike Ambassador:  Get out of your home at Habitat and work side by side with your fellow neighbor to educate your community about bicycle safety.

So how are you giving back to the Boulder community? Share your noble actions for others to follow and participate on our Facebook page.
