Now that the snow has finally started to melt from the hills around Boulder, it would be a great time to get outside and explore the Rockies.
This Memorial Day weekend, don’t forget to get out and enjoy the Boulder Creek Festival. This annual event, May 25-27, is preceded by a race that draws thousands of runners from across the country to our neck of the woods. After everyone cools off, there is plenty of fun still to be had. Between the food, the duck race, the music, and the art, it is a day you’ll never forget.
There is also the Boulder Farmers Market to explore on Saturdays, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., and Wednesdays, 4-8 p.m., next to Central Park in downtown Boulder. While it is still too early for most of the crops to be harvested, there are plenty of goods to be found. Between the flowers and the honey, you will not walk away disappointed.
Finally, the Boulder Outdoor Cinema is the perfect way to end any day. Started in 1995, they have been showcasing some of the best movies on the outdoor big screen to satisfied audiences throughout Boulder.
