About Boulder Arts Week
The fifth annual Boulder Arts Week is here from March 30 to April 7, 2018. This comprehensive seminar aims to honor every form of art, so you’ll be sure to find a discussion or exhibit that piques your interest. Venues and times vary, so check out the full schedule to see what’s most appealing. Here’s a sampling of what you can expect:
Revealing Gravity
Fort Collins artist Jennifer Ivanovic is proud to present her new collection, Revealing Gravity. Boulder Arts Weeks kicks off with a display of these breathtaking pieces on Friday, March 30 at Naropa University Paramita Gallery. To experience mesmerizing paintings that are reminiscent of glass blowing, don’t miss out on this exhibit. If you can’t make it on March 30, this display is available at other dates throughout the week.
Skean Dubh Performance
A fan of Celtic music or ready to explore a new genre? Join the community for a live performance by Skean Dubh at The Laughing Goat Coffee House on Pearl Street. On Saturday, March 31 at 9:00 p.m., Boulder residents will have the opportunity to sip on a warm beverage and enjoy spirited acoustic music that celebrates Celtic heritage.
A Shadow Is Never Created In Darkness
On Tuesday, April 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., stop by Naropa University Nalanda Campus to view A Shadow Is Never Created In Darkness by Libby Barbee and Chinn Wang. Their works explore themes of natural beauty and urban landscapes, and these collaborative yet contrasting pieces provide a complex visual experience.
Digital Arts Happy Hour
Digital art plays an important role in our modern world. Boulder Arts Week recognizes the need for digital artists to converge, so join the community for Digital Arts Happy Hour on April 3 at 5:00 p.m. At Boulder Digital Arts, you’ll have the opportunity to meet new people in a laidback, collaborative environment. In addition to the engaging company and conversation, attendees will enjoy complimentary brews and examine a gorgeous display provided by the Dona Laurita Gallery.
